Fundamentals of design by Safwan Ryem

​ Drawing the Grid was pretty easy. The tough part was making sure each line was straight. Also the unit forms are just stars and I used a compass to draw the other forms. (Circle, Half Circles) Shading them in was tedious and messy with all the smudges that resulted in it. I chose to draw stars because thats the first thing that popped into my head. And I had a compass in my hand so I just drew those circles and half circles. But in a way, it could represent outer space with the stars, and the circles being planets. And a ring surrounding a circle. 

  This design is repetition of direction. The triangles face one direction. I was inspired by a similar drawing I found online. I also designed it where the triangles got lighter in every column. The hardest part was probably getting each triangle to be the same size and in the same position.

            I’m Safwan Ryem. My interests are playing basketball, skateboarding, playing video games and hanging out with friends. I’m interested in Graphic design because I’d like to expand my knowledge about this course and learn the different techniques because I’m completely new to this. My hobbies are skateboarding, basketball, and video games. My dream and goal is just to be successful.
